Why choose Diamond car insurance?

  • Designed with female drivers in mind
  • Comprehensive cover includes a range of benefits
  • Policy add-ons let you tailor your cover to your needs

When it comes to car insurance, Diamond’s unique selling point is their female-focused car insurance. The company makes this very clear with the tag line “It’s no accident that Diamond Car Insurance is designed for girls … because we prefer safer drivers.”

Diamond back up the statement by adding: “It’s a fact, girls are safer drivers than boys. Insurance experts have proven that female drivers aged between 17 and 24 make 36% less claims compared to males.”*

The female focus of the company is apparent if you visit their website and, of course, if you buy a policy from them. There are plenty of articles under the Diamond Extras portal, from tips on driving when pregnant to whether you can judge a girl by her car.

Diamond car insurance policy details

Like most insurers, Diamond offers three levels of cover:

  • Third party insurance. This is the legal minimum cover required in the UK. It covers any injuries you cause to others and damage to their vehicle. But, it doesn't cover damage to your own car, or any injuries you or your passengers sustain.
  • Third party, fire and theft insurance. This option provides the same cover as third party insurance, but with added protection if your car is stolen or fire damaged. Just like third party cover, it won't cover damage to your car or injuries to you or your passengers from a collision.
  • Comprehensive insurance. This is the highest level of cover available. It includes everything above, plus protection to your own car and injuries to you and your passengers in case of an accident. Diamond also offers coverage for things like your handbag, child seat and buggy.
  • Multi-car insurance. This could be a great option if you have 2 or more cars in your household, or immediate family.
  • Courier car insurance. If you're a courier or delivery driver, this tailored cover can provide extra coverage for things like frequent stops and higher mileage.
